Residential project
RMIT Interior Decoration Semester 1, 2024
The brief for this task was to design a residential interior that reflects the personality, lifestyle, and preferences of an imagined client while incorporating key design principles and spatial planning strategies. The focus was on creating a cohesive concept through a clear design language, materiality, and mood.
I responded by designing a warm and inviting home with a nostalgic mid-century influence, interpreted through a contemporary lens. The concept balanced clean architectural lines with soft natural textures, curved furnishings, and a muted colour palette that felt timeless and fresh. The aim was to evoke a sense of calm while still making a personal statement. I used Photoshop to compile a cohesive visual presentation board, integrating furniture layouts, finishes, and mood elements to bring the concept to life.
